Can I book one-on-one training?

Yes you can. Please inquire with us with your location, your nominated rifle range of choice if available, and your requirements. One-on-one training is sometimes the preferred method of learning by some people.

Can you help recommend the rifle I should buy?

On our armoury page is a list of recommended rifles. However the rifling twist rate of your rifle that you choose should be such that it will sufficiently stabilise the heavier end of the projectile line in your chosen calibre.  i.e. a 1 in 12” twist for a 7mm Rem Mag Cartridge would be considered too slow for stabilising an 180gn Berger Hunting VLD. Please consult your local quality rifle maker for advice on your exact requirements.

Do you offer a consultation service to assist in the purchase of the right equipment?

Yes we do. Our consultation service is available on request a standard $110 fee will apply for a minimum of 30 minutes. This can be done in person or via the phone for expedience.

Do you sell rifles or scopes?

No we don’t. Our expertise is in their use. Please contact your nearest gun dealer or please visit the affiliates page to view your local dealers.

Can I pay by direct deposit?

Yes you can. During purchase select direct deposit and banking information will be emailed.

What is the minimum age?

18 years.

Do I need a firearm licence?

Yes you do. This is required to be produced to the course co-ordinator before commencement of any training undertaken by our staff at Precision Shooting Australia.

Do I need a police clearance?

Yes you do!!  For insurance and to protect Australia’s and New Zealand's homeland security, a current National Police Clearance Certificate or New Zealand Police Clearance Certificate is required before attending courses. A current valid firearm licence for your rifle you are using and photo identification is also required for all courses where shooting is undertaken. For more information on police clearance certificates please visit your relevant state police website.

What if the course gets cancelled?

You will be either fully refunded forthwith or given the opportunity to keep your booking on the next available course date.

What if it rains during the course?

Rain will only affect day two on Precision Shooting Long Range course. As accurate calibration of trajectory and software is required, your projectiles will strike a little high in the rain and this is why it is important for it not to rain on this day. However, this day can be shuffled a little to compensate for inclement weather. If you do not wish you rifle to be wet on the odd occasion whilst training or hunting then this may not be for you.
